Michael Earl joined Oakland Family Services as a graduate school intern in 1980.  During his
31-year tenure with the agency, he has held a variety of positions to support Oakland
Family Services, initially serving as a Caseworker.

In 2007, Michael Earl completed the Harvard Business School: Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management Program where he studied the characteristics of high performing non-profit organizations.

Michael Earl currently serves on the Wayne State University School of Social Work Board of Visitors, and is chair of the Strategic Planning Committee.   He has served as chair of the Mapping & Gap Analysis Sub-committee  on the Governor’s Task Force to assess the community impact of the economic downturn on families and children. 

Michael Earl earned his Bachelor of Arts and Psychology degree in 1974 from Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Mich. and in 1980 he completed his Masters of Social Work at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich.  Michael has served as a board member for numerous community organizations.

Daniel Pienta

Daniel J. Pienta is Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Northern Trust Bank FSB Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.  In this capacity he manages the Trust, Investment Services and Private Banking groups within the financial center.  Dan also serves as the Chief Banking Officer for the state of Michigan. He has over twenty five years experience in a broad scope of financial services disciplines.

Dan joined Northern Trust in June of 1999 after nineteen years with the former NBD Bancorp and its’ successor organizations.  During that tenure he had a variety of responsibilities that included Commercial Banking, Corporate Cash Management and Retail Banking. Dan holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and has participated in a variety of banking related training and development programs. Dan is a member of the Board of Trustees for New Horizons Rehabilitation Services, Inc. and has previously served on the Finance Committee at the Detroit Athletic Club.
