Since 1985, Oakland Family Services has worked with client families facing financial difficulties in order to make the holidays a little brighter for their loved ones…especially their children. The program offers an opportunity for families and businesses to experience the joy of giving at this special time of year. Last year, through the kindness of individuals, businesses and community groups, over 490 individuals, from over 200 families, had a holiday to remember!
As you know, the holiday season is just around the corner and we are reaching out for your continued support of the Oakland Family Services' "Adopt-A-Family" program. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of the many disadvantaged children and families in our community.
ADOPT-A-FAMILY 2013 has ended, check back in October 2014 for more info on ADOPT-A-FAMILY 2014
Three easy steps:
- Click here to complete a Donor Contact Form and select the size(s) family you wish to "adopt". You may also call or email Valerie Mercadante at Oakland Family Services, (248) 858-7766, Ext. 218, or email@example.com.
- Oakland Family Services will match you with a family. The family's wish list will include family first names, age, gender, and a few suggestions of items needed/desired. We will mail/fax/e-mail you the family's wish list, a tax deduction form, and a map to the drop off location.
- Please purchase new items, wrap them and mark them with the first name and the family code, which is located at the top of the wish list. Gifts should be delivered either Monday, December 2nd or Tuesday, December 3rd to Oakland Family Services, 114 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Volunteers will be on site to assist you with your packages.
