HOW YOU CAN HELP
|
| OFS receives funds from many sources. Currently about
11% of its budget comes from charitable contributions from
individuals and corporations. As a non-profit, 501 (c) (3)
organization, all gifts are eligible for a charitable tax
deduction. The agency conducts special events to raise funds
that support the programs and general charitable purposes.
Whether you lend a hand by volunteering or you join in and
financially support the agency, your help is needed and can be
given in any of the following ways:

Guy Gordon Golf Classic for kids, a benefit golf outing |

The Friends of OFS Fall Gala theme party and live auction |
|

A gift in honor of a family member or friend's birthday,
graduation, wedding or other occasion |

A memorial gift which honors the memory of a special person |

Gifting the Oakland Family Services endowment fund |

Including Oakland Family Services as a beneficiary in your
will or by designating the agency such as annuities, trusts
and pooled income funds |

MEMBERSHIP IN THE FRIENDS OF OAKLAND FAMILY
SERVICES

| The FRIENDS
group is an auxiliary group that was formed to give energy, time
and talents to serve as an integral part of OFS through
sponsorship of fund raising events, to provide volunteer support
to various programs when the need arises and to communicate to the
general public awareness of the importance of OFS programs to the
well-being of the children and families in our communities.

outfitting disadvantaged children with school supplies |

Thanksgiving baskets: providing
turkey and other foods for a tradional holiday dinner for
needy families |

Foster Care children's holiday

Nutritional program for
disadvantaged children in the day care and preschool program |

|
Your help is needed now more than ever. We can't do it
alone and it takes the best in each of us to make the world a
better place for all of us.
