MASTER’S LEVEL CLINICIAN

We are currently seeking highly motivated Master’s prepared clinicians with child, adolescent and adult experience to provide direct mental health and substance abuse treatment to a diverse population.   The Clinician is responsible to: obtain, analyze and evaluate case data; develop an understanding of the client’s situation and to develop goals and planned responses; carry out the plan and or/or alter the plan as new understandings demand; analyze and evaluate the course and results of the treatment process.

Credentials Required:

FOSTER CARE CASE MANAGER

The Foster Care Case Manager I provides services to children placed in Foster Care and their families to ensure protection and stabilization for the children and to assist the families in developing and completing a successful plan for reunification.   

Responsibilities include:

·          Assist in intake, placement and replacement of children who are referred to the Agency by the Department of Human Services (DHS) or brought voluntarily by the parents.

·         Develop, implement, doument and review behavioral goals, methodology of service delivery and objectives as listed in a Parent Agency Agreement.

·         Monitor and document all progress related to behavioral goals and objectives as listed in the service plan.

·         Maintain responsibility for children at an individual caseload ratio of no more than twenty-five, with the ideal caseload ratio of no more than eighteen.

·         Provide family and individual counseling in coordination with the service plan.

·         Provide crisis intervention and case management services to the child, the family and the foster parents.

·         Prepare all necessary reports as required by DHS and the legal system according to prescribed guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

·        Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field with appropriate licensure.

·         Demonstrated competence in the issues of separation and loss as they relate to the foster care population.

·         Special abilities and skills necessary to perform the required tasks and that best meet the needs of the Agency also will be considered.  Any standard above may be waived when compensating specifications or circumstances exist.

·         Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate the needs of the agency and the program.

RE-ENTRY HOUSING RESOURCE SPECIALIST
PART TIME, 25 HOURS/WEEK
PONTIAC 

Oakland Family Services is a private, not-for-profit, human services organization that provides programs from four offices located throughout Oakland County.    As a leader in child and family-focused services Oakland Family Services reaches more than 40,000 individuals and 13,000 families each year.

We are currently seeking a Re-Entry Housing Resource Specialist to work in our Pontiac MPRI (Michigan Prisoner Re-Entry Initiative) program.  The individual will be responsible for providing referrals for housing, cultivating relationships with potential housing providers and assisting in family reunification planning for parolees as they reintegrate into the community upon release from prison.

Duties will include leading housing resource groups; coordinating with clients to provide individual housing planning meetings; cultivating housing options in Oakland County for parolees; creating and managing the reports required for tracking data and services and working closely with parole agents to assure referrals are made appropriately.

Bachelor degree in Social Work or related field; experience with criminal justice population and experience with housing resources are required.

OASIS* RECRUITER/TRAINER
PART TIME, 20 HOURS WEEKLY
PONTIAC 

Oakland Family Services is a private, not-for-profit, human services organization that provides programs from four offices located throughout Oakland County.    As a leader in child and family-focused services Oakland Family Services reaches more than 40,000 individuals and 13,000 families each year.

We are currently seeking an OASIS* Recruiter/Trainer to work in our Pontiac Specialty Services program.  This position is to provide awareness to the older adult community, their caregivers and geriatric service providers of the availability of mental health services through a grant funded program, to older adults in their home at no cost.

The following represents a summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed:

·         Perform a wide variety of outreach and recruitment activities within the community.

·         Represent the Agency at community collaborative meetings and events relative to older adults, their caregivers and older adult providers.

·         Call on older adult providers to share information on OASIS program.

·         Provide recruitment activities that result in applicants sufficient to meet the needs of the agency.

Requirements for this position include:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field

·         Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate weekend and evening activities

·         Marketing/recruiting experience

·         Experience working with older adult programs
