MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT OVERVIEW & PHILOSOPHY

Individual, family and groups receive assistance in overcoming problems
related to self, family, work and school. These mild to severe symptoms that affect the
individual's ability to function. Participants gain insight, skills,
and a better understanding of the issues, and they learn new coping strategies
that lead to improved mental health. Culturally sensitive treatment,
including bilingual service, is provided by licensed and certified mental
health professionals. Treatment also is provided to elderly residents of
nursing homes who evidence dementia and other mental health problems.

PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION AND MEDICATION REVIEW:
|
|
Evaluation and diagnosis by Board-Certified Psychiatrists assist in treatment
planning to alleviate psychiatric symptoms and improve coping.
Medication is prescribed in situations in which the patient will
benefit. Ongoing review of the effects of medication and the appropriateness
of continuing the medication regimen is provided by the psychiatrist in
collaboration with assigned therapists. Geriatric assessments and medication
reviews are provided to nursing homes residents who evidence dementia and
other mental health problems. Most insurances are accepted. A sliding
fee scale is available for those who qualify.
