Recognizing the dramatically increasing population of older adults, Oakland Family Services is committed to providing diverse individual and group services for Older Adult clients and their families.
Services can be provided in nursing homes, assisted livings, retirement communities or, in the home.
Oakland Family Services' professionals provide educational presentations and trainings on topics for and about the aging population for professional and familial caregivers.

Staff from Older Adult and Caregiver Services also conduct a monthly Stroke Support Group with a different topic of focus each month. Topics include:
The Older Adult Specialty In-home Services (OASIS) program provides counseling services to homebound older adults (60+) living in Oakland County in the privacy of their own home. This program is available to older adults or their caregivers when they have a concern about depression, anxiety or substance misuse.
The Older Adult and Caregiver Services team is comprised of psychologists, psychiatric nurses trained in geriatric psychiatry, and masters-prepared, certified in aging social workers who specialize in gerontology, psychiatry, substance abuse and the behavioral management of dementia clients.
