Oakland Family Services recognized as Top Workplace

Oakland Family Services is honored to once again be recognized as one of the Top Workplaces in Michigan! The Detroit Free Press and Energage, an independent research company, invited Michigan organizations to take part in a survey that asked employees about culture, pay, benefits, amenities, what they like, don’t like, and reasons they might love their job and respect their leaders. The companies are ranked by the results.

Oakland Family Services participates in the Top Workplace Survey each year as it aligns with the agency’s goals related to employee engagement, recruitment and retention, according to Julie Mison, Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness at Oakland Family Services. By participating in the survey, it measure various aspects of “organizational health,” which is known to have a huge impact on employee engagement. Research demonstrates that organizations that rate higher in areas of "organizational health" have increased productivity, increased engagement, and better business outcomes. 

“By participating in the Top Workplace Survey, and winning Top Workplace, Oakland Family Services is better able to attract top talent in the area,” Mison said. “The survey provides an important voice to employees related to their experience at the Agency in many areas so the Agency can examine what needs to be impacted."
