Despite the challenges created by the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order in Michigan, Oakland Family Services is moving forward with hiring staff to ensure continuity of our vital health and safety net services for our community during the coronavirus pandemic.

The agency has transitioned its recruiting and on-boarding functions to a virtual platform to adhere to social distancing for interviews, paperwork, trainings, and other important tasks.

“The community needs Oakland Family Services now more than ever, and we want to be able to meet those needs with qualified, caring staff,” said Suanne Hunt, talent engagement specialist at Oakland Family Services. “We anticipate even more people will be seeking prevention, education and treatment services as the pandemic continues and long after. We are continuing to recruit and hire so that we are even better prepared to meet the needs of our current clients, as well as those who will need us later.”
