Celebrating a Lasting Partnership with Dawda PLC

Oakland Family Services was honored to be recognized as Dawda PLC’s Charity of the Year at their 30th anniversary celebration, a milestone event commemorating three decades of practice for the Bloomfield Hills based firm.

Held at the Detroit Institute of Arts, the celebration brought together Dawda partners and clients for an evening of reflection and recognition. One of the highlights of the evening was a generous $10,000 donation to Oakland Family Services, reinforcing Dawda’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact beyond the workplace.

This recognition continues a longstanding relationship between Dawda and Oakland Family Services that spans more than 15 years. The firm had previously honored Oakland Family Services at its 20th anniversary celebration in 2015. Since that time, Dawda has continued to support Oakland Family Services through corporate sponsorships and donations, helping to advance the agency’s mission, and strengthen the families it serves.

During the event, founding partner Edward Dawda highlighted the firm’s dedication to both its clients and the broader community. Partner Wayne Segal also shared reflections on the firm’s deep-rooted connection with Oakland Family Services, which began when attorney Terri Joswick collaborated with the agency to stabilize its pension fund, a critical step in ensuring our long-term sustainability.

President and CEO Jaimie Clayton attended the celebration alongside David Tindall, Vice President of Development. During the event, Jaimie expressed sincere gratitude to Dawda and its guests, sharing how the firm’s generous donation will help build brighter futures for children and families across the community.

Oakland Family Services is grateful for Dawda’s ongoing partnership and looks forward to the continued positive impact this collaboration will bring.
