A Evening of Gratitude & Hope: Celebration Event 2025

Last night, June 3, we hosted the Celebration Event at Chief Financial Credit Union in Rochester, MI, a heartfelt event to honor the incredible generosity shown during our Building Brighter Futures Breakfast. This special gathering was our way of saying thank you to every individual who made a gift in support of our mission—because of you, we raised an inspiring $224,718 to support children and families across our community!

One of the most powerful moments of the evening came when Solomon, a proud and courageous parent, shared his family’s story. After the devastating loss of his 14-year-old son, Solomon’s young daughter, Leah, faced severe separation anxiety, struggling to adjust to multiple preschool environments. It wasn’t until she came to our Children’s Learning Center that she finally found a place where she could thrive. His moving testimonial was a reminder of the resilience of our families—and the power of safe, supportive spaces.

The evening also marked a moment of transition and appreciation for our leadership. We celebrated Brian Newman as he completed his impactful tenure as Board Chair and welcomed Jay Wachowicz into the role. We are grateful for their dedication and guidance as we continue to grow and serve.

A heartfelt thank you to our Development team, whose hard work and vision brought this event to life. Your efforts created a space full of warmth, reflection, and hope.

To everyone who helped make this evening, and this campaign, a success: thank you. Together, we are building brighter futures, one story at a time.
