Coronavirus/COVID-19 UPDATE – REOPENING

Oakland Family Services is working diligently to ensure that we continue to provide our vital health and safety net services for our community, because we realize that people are likely in need of our assistance even more now, as we all feel the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Information on COVID-19 is consistently changing. Oakland Family Services has worked to keep up, monitoring information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Oakland County Health Department, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s office and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. We are also continuing to work with our funders and those with whom we have contracts to ensure effective access to services coupled with regard for health and safety.

Oakland Family Services is committed to maintaining services, while at the same time protecting the health of our staff and the individuals and families we serve. In light of the government pandemic-response phase changes in our area of the state, Oakland Family Services’ physical offices are slowly opening to services that must take place in person, while still maintaining most of our vital health and safety net services for our community in a virtual manner. Thank you for your patience as we adhere to social distancing standards and limit and monitor the amount of people in our buildings in the best interest of the safety of both you and our staff.

Oakland Family Services is working to keep its staff safe as some employees report back to our buildings. This manual details measures being taken that will ensure their safety, as well as the health and safety of those we serve.
