Molly Reed has been a dedicated outpatient therapist at Oakland Family Services since 2014, bringing over a decade of experience in mental health and substance use treatment. Since 2016, she has served as the Lead Outpatient Therapist in Pontiac and as a Sobriety Court Liaison, supporting individuals on their paths to recovery and wellness.
As a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), Molly specializes in working with individuals aged 16 and older, providing compassionate care to those experiencing substance use disorders. She incorporates motivational interviewing (MI) to create a safe, empathetic space for clients to explore personal growth and change. Through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), she helps individuals identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, fostering healthier coping strategies.
Molly also utilizes dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients manage intense emotions, strengthen relationships, and build resilience. With a trauma-informed approach, she prioritizes safety, empowerment, and trust-building, ensuring that every client’s healing journey is met with understanding and support.
