Shirley serves adults and seniors with Medicare insurance, utilizing a person-centered approach that emphasizes active listening, validation, and encouragement. She specializes in supporting family members and friends of those struggling with addiction and recovery, using principles from Al-Anon Family literature to promote self-care and resilience. She educates clients on the natural grieving process and offers strategies to move forward in a changed life.
As part of her therapeutic approach, Shirley explores family system dynamics, examining past experiences and current relationship needs.
