Giving Tuesday is fast approaching on Nov. 30, and Oakland Family Services needs your help to fill our GivingGrid with people who have positively impacted the lives of others!
After all of the hustle and bustle of Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a chance to pause and give back to the causes you care about.
In honor of Oakland Family Services’ 100th year of building brighter futures, we invite you to donate to our GivingGrid in honor of someone who built a brighter future for you. Think back on the people who have helped you throughout your life — perhaps a parent who made sacrifices to pave the way for you, a grandparent or other caregiver who stepped in to lend a hand, a teacher you still remember fondly, a child who brightens your world, a mentor who showed you the way, or a friend who is always there for you.
When you donate, you will be able to share a name, photo or comment about the person you are honoring.
“I donated in honor of my parents and grandparents,” said Paige Gilbert, marketing and communications coordinator for Oakland Family Services. “I don’t pause and thank them often enough for all of the ways they have supported me over the years. Donating to this Giving Tuesday campaign in their honor is a great way to thank those who built a brighter future for me, while also continuing the cycle by helping Oakland Family Services build brighter futures for the people it serves.”
Every donation to Oakland Family Services’ GivingGrid helps fund prevention, education and treatment programs that give children, families and individuals in southeast Michigan the tools and support they need to solve challenges they cannot resolve on their own. Our services include preschool and child care, early childhood parenting support, foster care and adoption, mental health and substance use disorder treatment, and more.
